Centerra Gold Services – Mt. Milligan Tailings Storage Facility Construction

Construction of a new Tailings Storage Facility, works include; stripping, cut-off trench excavation, coffer dam construction, dam placement (including core, upstream (U/S) & downstream (D/S)), & water management for the construction of improvements to the existing tailings dam facility.  Earthmoving activities amounted to a total of 345,000m³ of earth moved over a period of three months.  The work was undertaken within the tailings dam area and within the boundaries of an operating mine with strict adherence to Mine Regulations and safety.
