Prince George Airport Authority – Runway 15-33 Extension
Runway 15-33 extension and widening and asphalt overlay of existing runway. Construction of fueling and de-icing pad. Scope including 220,000 m3 of excavation, site grading and landscaping, installation of 586,000 tonne of granular sub base, installation of 136,000 tonnes of crushed base gravel, installation of 52,000 tonnes of asphalt, installation of geo-textiles and geo-grid, installment of 4510 lm of storm drainage and sub-drains, installation of 72 manholes and concrete encased CMP pipes and installation of new perimeter fence. Complete overhaul of airport electrical systems. Work including displacing threshold, temporary runway end lights, temporary PAPIs, removal of LIALS and reinstallation to original position, 3600 lm of centerline lights, 14721 lm of electrical trenching, duct and wire installation, localizer upgrades, runway signage installation, and communication relocation/extension including foundations and duct work.
