City of Prince George – Downtown Utilities Upgrades

Design/build upgrade and replacement of underground services in downtown Prince George to accommodate the Park House Condo development and to replace aging infrastructure. Work included potable water, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, underground district energy system, electrical, surface works and landscaping. Challenges to the project included working around/replacing infrastructure that was constructed over 60 plus years ago and maintaining all services operational existing business and Firehall #1. Design of the sanitary main included a complete direct change to existing flow and tie-in to new sanitary main. Portions of the work required well point dewatering to lower ground water levels to allow installation of the utilities. 

Relocation of existing sanitary water & storm system with curb gutter sidewalks and full road reconstruction. Landscaping works to be completed as well.
