Northern Rockies Regional Airport – Runway 04-22 Rehabilitation
- Sawcutting of asphalt for approximately 2,510m of butt joints.
- Cold milling of approximately 6,150m2 for butt joints.
- Approximately 990m of major crack repairs.
- HIPR of the entire length (1,767m) of Runway 04-22.
- Runway shoulder width reduction from 60m to 45m, including approximately 3,890m of sawcutting, supply and install of 1,600m3 of granular base material, and supply and spread of topsoil and hydraulic seeding over reduced runway edges (27,840m2).
- Removal of existing Threshold 04 PCC panels (7,380m2) and Threshold 04 reconstruction with 380mm sub-base course, 250mm granular base course, geotextile and geogrid, and 150mm of HMAC.
- Removal and replacement of approximately 3,240m of existing 200mm perforated PVC subdrain pipe and associated appurtenances.
- Removal and replacement of approximately 870m of 250mm diameter perforated PVC subdrain pipe and associated appurtenances.
- Removal and replacement of approximately 370m of 250mm diameter DR35 PVC pipe and associated appurtenances.
- Removal and replacement of approximately 130m of 300mm diameter DR35 PVC pipe and associated appurtenances.
- Removal and replacement of approximately 260m of 450mm diameter DR35 PVC pipe and associated appurtenances.
- Supply and spread of approximately 10,720m2 of topsoil and hydroseeding.
- Install of new and temporary pavement markings.
- 50mm HMAC overlay of the entire Runway 04-22 and part of the Runway 04-22/08-26 intersection (approx. 11,800 T of HMAC).
- Remove and re-install of 59 existing elevated runway edge lights and associated appurtenances.
- Approximately 500m of duct installation and associated appurtenances.
- Revisions to Threshold 04 and Threshold 22 lighting and associated appurtenances.
- Relocate and re-install of existing inset runway edge lighting and associated appurtenances.
- Remove and re-install of 2 existing elevated taxiway edge lights and associated appurtenances.
- Relocate the Runway 22 PAPI system, sign, and Threshold 22 ODAL Units and associated appurtenances.
- Supply and install of 4 new elevated taxiway edge lights and associated appurtenances.
- All associated site works, including site restoration.
