Black & McDonald – Shell Groundbirch Substation
IDL was the main civil subcontractor to Black and McDonald for the 4 acre Shell Groundbirch Substation located approximately 50km South of Fort St. John, British Columbia. IDL’s scope of work included all civil earthworks and foundations. Specific works included clear and grub, site stripping, excavation to waste and embankment, import and place structural fill, underground ducting, duct cable trench and perimeter security chain-link fencing.
Project constructed through the winter of 2014/2015 requiring extensive heating and hoarding for foundations.
