BGIS – Smithers Courthouse

As part of the CleanBC Government Buildings Program to reduce emissions by 80% by 2050, a Construction Management at Risk project for the complete upgrade to the exterior envelope while the facility remained in full operation.

Work included: hoarding entire exterior façade to accommodate work throughout winter, removal of existing roofing containing asbestos and installation of new R50 SBS Roof, removal of existing exterior stucco and install new rain screen stucco, replacement of curtain wall with triple glazed curtain wall, replacement of all exterior doors and skylight and overlap existing mechanical penthouse with new cladding.
